Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, currently serving as Senior Counsel for Finance Corporate Development and Strategy at Union Pacific Railroad since October 2018. Prior roles at Union Pacific Railroad include Senior General Attorney, Director/Senior Director of Corporate Strategy, and General Attorney. Michael began a legal career at Husch Blackwell as an Attorney from August 2013 to October 2018 and previously worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the United States District Court, District of Nebraska from 2011 to 2013. Michael earned a Juris Doctor degree from Creighton University School of Law in 2011 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grinnell College in 2008.
