Alex Orr

Alex Orr, CPA has a diverse work experience that spans from 2018 to 2023. They began as an Undergraduate Assistant at Miami University, where they assessed student projects and provided constructive feedback. Alex then worked as an Accounting Intern at Cintas, assisting with various accounting tasks and streamlining audit processes. They also served as Treasurer for Beta Theta Pi during this time.

In 2019, Alex joined BKD CPAs & Advisors as an Audit Intern, focusing on financial statement audits across different industries, including insurance and banking. They developed strong client relationships and prepared audit workpapers in compliance with GAAP and SAP.

From 2019 to 2020, Alex assumed the role of President for the Alpha Chapter of Beta Theta Pi. They successfully managed and led a team of executive members, formulated and executed an emergency plan during the COVID-19 pandemic, and received several awards for their outstanding leadership.

Returning to BKD CPAs & Advisors in 2020, Alex continued as an Audit Intern, specializing in financial statement audits for banking clients. They maintained client relationships and prepared audit workpapers following accounting standards.

In 2021, Alex joined BKD CPAs & Advisors as an Auditor, where they contributed to financial statement audits. They joined FORVIS in 2022 as an Auditor before transitioning to their current role as Vice President - Finance and Accounting at Union Savings Bank in 2023.

Alex Orr, CPA holds a Master's degree in Accountancy from Miami University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the same institution. Alex also attended Kings High School but did not receive a degree or specify a field of study. In addition to their formal education, Alex has obtained various certifications, including becoming a Certified Public Accountant from the Accountancy Board Of Ohio in January 2022. They also obtained certifications in Accounting Foundations: Bookkeeping, Accounting Foundations: Managerial Accounting, and Finance Foundations: Income Taxes from LinkedIn in January 2018.
