Union Station Homeless Services
Phawnta Avery is an experienced Human Resources professional currently serving as a Human Resources Specialist at Union Station Homeless Services since December 2020. Responsibilities include coordinating personnel records, managing HRIS data, and generating reports. In addition, Phawnta volunteers as a Human Resources Generalist at Poppy Life Care, handling new-employee files, scheduling interviews, and assisting with recruitment processes. Previous roles include Human Resources Generalist at United American Indian Involvement, where tasks involved recruitment and onboarding, and Human Resources Assistant positions at California Science Center and other organizations focused on administrative support and compliance. Phawnta holds a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Trident University International and a Bachelor's degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology-Tampa, along with a certification in Human Resources Management from the University of the Pacific.
