Florence Lenda is an experienced Special Education Teacher with a career spanning over three decades at Uniondale UFSD, where service extended from 1983 to 2015. Lenda holds a Master of Science degree in Special Education and Teaching from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Molloy College.

My instructional theories and practices will support the National Educational Technology Plan to create technology literate citizens. The energy and eagerness expressed by UHSs' students for Technology Education, further drives me to offer the best learning opportunities. Goals of mine are to combine my expertise and life skills to professionally perform the duties of a 21st Century Technology Educator and to progressively advocate for technology education awareness in society. Through all these courageous endeavors, UHS technology students will be inspired to reach their own (academic, personal and career) achievements. During the '09-'10 school year, a personal and professional goal of mine is to be the best involved teacher I have ever been. This outcome can be measured by closely partnering with the Uniondale School Community as well as, industry leaders abroad.
