Jeremy Rico has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Funded UROP Researcher at UC Irvine from June 2016 to June 2017. During this time, they utilized environmental isotope geochemistry to analyze the rooting depth and structure of California sage species. Jeremy collected soil samples, analyzed isotopic composition of soil water using a mass spectrometer, and built a mass mixing model using Matlab to determine the rooting structure of shrubs based on the isotopic values of stem water and soil water at different depths.
In 2018, Jeremy worked as a Field Survey Technician at Bay Area Land Surveying Inc from February to September. Jeremy gained experience in conducting field surveys and collecting data related to land surveying.
In 2020, Jeremy joined California State University, Fullerton as an Instructional Lab Assistant, where they worked from January to December. Jeremy'sresponsibilities included assisting in instructional labs and supporting students in their lab experiments.
