Horacio Escobar

Horacio Escobar is an experienced professional in bioprocess engineering and validation, currently serving as the Process Engineering and Validation Manager at uniQure since May 2023. Prior to this role, Horacio was a Senior Engineer MSAT at HALIX B.V., where responsibilities included the implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes under GMP regulations, and leading tech transfer for a Gene therapy project. Previous experience includes positions at Lonza as a Bioprocess Engineer and Technician, focusing on cell and gene therapy manufacturing. Horacio began their career in research with academic roles at institutions such as CIB-CSIC and Trinity College Dublin, with a strong foundation in cellular and molecular medicine. Horacio holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Technologies Management and Development from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
