Josh Leeman

Josh Leeman has extensive work experience in the field of business development and evaluation, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry. Josh currently holds the position of Vice President of Business Development and Search and Evaluation at uniQure, a role they have held since March 2021. Prior to that, they served as Senior Director of Business Development and Search and Evaluation at uniQure from September 2018 to March 2021.

Before joining uniQure, Josh worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals for a number of years. From September 2016 to March 2021, they held the role of Associate Director of Business Development at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, they were the Senior Manager of Vertex Innovation and External Research from October 2014 to September 2016.

Josh began their career at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in 2008, where they held the position of Research Scientist II in Virology from 2010 to 2014. Josh previously held the role of Research Scientist I from 2008 to 2010.

Josh Leeman earned a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from the University of Notre Dame from 1998 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Boston University from 2002 to 2008.
