Matt Demir

Matt Demir has extensive work experience in the legal field. Matt has held various roles in different companies, starting in 2010. From 2023 onwards, they serve as the Director of Legal at uniQure. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Legal Counsel (acting) at uniQure. In 2021, they were an Interim Senior Legal Counsel at DPA Professionals and an Interim Legal Counsel at the same company from 2021 to 2023. Before that, they worked as a Legal Counsel at FPS Flexible Packaging Solutions for a brief period. From 2021 to 2022, they served as a Legal Counsel (acting) at Five Guys International. Matt also held the position of Legal Counsel (acting) at Rabobank from 2021 to 2021. Matt began their career as a Corporate Lawyer at VISTRA from 2017 to 2020. Matt also gained valuable experience through student internships at Lexence N.V. and Dentons. Matt has a strong educational background, having worked as a Promoter at Maastricht University from 2010 to 2016.

Matt Demir has a strong educational background in law. Matt holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from Maastricht University with specializations in Nederlands Recht: Specialisatie Handels- en Ondernemingsrecht (2015-2017) and Globalization and Law: Specialisation Corporate and Commercial Law (2013-2017). Prior to their master's degrees, Matt obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Maastricht University in 2012, with minors in Dutch Law and Human Rights and Criminology. Matt completed their secondary education at the United World College Maastricht, where they received an International Baccalaureate Bilingual Diploma in 2008. In addition to their degrees, Matt has obtained additional certifications, including the Goethe-Zertifikat C2: GDS from the Goethe-Institut Niederlande in 2023, Certified Trust Officer from Licent Academy in 2019, and "Civiel effect" qualification for admission to the Netherlands Bar from Maastricht University in 2017.
