Penny Heard has extensive work experience in various roles within the finance industry. Penny currently works at UniSuper, where they hold the position of Head of Global Equities & Quant Methods since January 2021. Prior to this role, they were the Manager of Global Equities & Quant Methods at UniSuper from April 2019 to January 2021. Before joining UniSuper, Penny worked at JCP Investment Partners as a Senior Portfolio Manager from January 2015 to February 2019. Penny also has experience at Merrill Lynch, where they held various positions including Director of Institutional Equity Sales from July 2012 to December 2014, Director of Asian Consumer Specialist from June 2009 to June 2012, and Vice President of Consumer Research Analyst from May 2005 to June 2009. Earlier in their career, Penny worked as a Commodity Trader at AWB from February 2003 to April 2005.

Penny Heard pursued their higher education at the University of Melbourne from 1996 to 2001. During this period, they completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Mathematics. In 2001, they moved to the University of Nottingham, where they continued their studies and obtained another Bachelor of Commerce degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, completing their education in 2002.
