Robert Stewart has extensive experience in the finance industry. Robert is currently working as an Investment Manager at UniSuper, where they are part of a team managing global assets for a leading superannuation fund in Australia. Prior to this, Robert was a Director at Equus Point Capital Pty Ltd, where they developed and managed a market-neutral Australian equity strategy. Robert also held the position of Director at Sandgreen Pty Ltd, where they used a quantitative and fundamental stock selection approach to manage Australian equities. Before that, Robert worked at Challenger Limited as the Head of the Challenger Howard Mortgage Fund and later as a Portfolio Manager, where they managed indexed equity portfolios and developed the company's approach to managing index portfolios. Robert also served as the Head of Index Funds at First Sentier Investors, overseeing the Australian index business and asset allocation. Robert began their career as an Analyst at Godfrey Weston, where they were responsible for reviewing managed funds, liaising with brokers, and making share recommendations.
Robert Stewart obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Marine Science from the University of Sydney from 1983 to 1986. Robert then pursued a Master of Applied Science degree in Applied Science at the University of New South Wales from 1989 to 1991. Following this, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Property at the University of Technology Sydney from 1992 to 1993. Lastly, they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Finance and Investment at the Securities Institute of Australia from 1993 to 1995.
