Nikolaos Pougounias

Nikolaos Pougounias has a significant and diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Nikolaos began their career in 2003 as a Junior Business Consultant at the National Technical University of Athens. Nikolaos then moved on to Technicom Ltd., where they worked as a Junior Software Engineer from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they joined INTRASOFT International S.A. as a Software Engineer and remained in that role until 2011.

From 2011 to 2015, Nikolaos worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the National Documentation Centre (EKT) before joining Computer Resources International Group SA as a Senior Software Engineer and Consultant in 2015. Nikolaos spent a year at this company before transitioning to euroCRIS - Current Research Information Systems in 2014. There, they served as a Member of the Architecture & Development Task Group until 2016.

In 2016, Nikolaos joined Uni Systems as a Software Architect, and later as a Senior Software Architect. Nikolaos currently holds these positions at the company, indicating a progressive career trajectory.

Nikolaos Pougounias holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Additionally, they have obtained a Master's degree in Information Systems from the Open University of Cyprus. In terms of certifications, they have completed the AWS Cloud Quest: Solutions Architect program from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2022. Nikolaos also holds The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Foundation certification, obtained in 2018. In the field of programming, Nikolaos is an Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Web Component Developer, certified by Oracle in 2010. Furthermore, they are a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java Platform, Standard Edition 6, certified by Sun Microsystems in 2008. Additionally, they hold the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in December 2022.
