Panagiotis Giannakis

Panagiotis Giannakis has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Panagiotis recently worked at Uni Systems as a Senior Project Manager starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Project Manager at IBM from October 2021 to March 2023. Before IBM, they worked at Mellon Technologies as an EFT POS Project Manager for four years, from February 2017 to October 2021. Panagiotis gained experience in software development as a Software Engineer at Viva Wallet from April 2014 to February 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Engineer at Printec s.a. from May 2011 to March 2014, and as a Database Administrator at InTTrust S.A. for a brief period in early 2011. Overall, Panagiotis has extensive experience in project management and software development in the IT industry.

Panagiotis Giannakis has a diverse education history. In 2004, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Piraeus, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Digital Systems in 2008. During this time, Giannakis also participated in a Summer School program at the University of Regensburg, focusing on Information Security.

Following their bachelor's degree, in 2008, Giannakis pursued a Master's degree in Software at the University of Ioannina, which they completed in 2010. This further strengthened their expertise in the field.

More recently, from 2019 to 2021, Giannakis attended the Athens University of Economics and Business to pursue an Executive MBA, refining their business and management skills.

In addition to their formal degrees, Giannakis has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional knowledge. These include the Certified SAFe 6 Scrum Master certification from Scaled Agile, Inc., obtained in July 2023, the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice, obtained in February 2023, and the Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in October 2022.

Giannakis also holds certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in August 2022, PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice, obtained in June 2022, as well as the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications from the Project Management Institute, obtained in July 2019 and December 2018, respectively.
