Marek Pasieka

Marek Pasieka has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as an Area Director at Unit8 since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Engagement Director at Unit8 from March 2021 to April 2023. Marek also held the role of a Big Data Software Engineer at Unit8 from March 2018 to April 2023. Before joining Unit8, they worked at Swisscom as a Senior Big Data Engineer/Architect from April 2017 to February 2018, and as a Big Data Engineer from July 2015 to April 2017. Prior to Swisscom, Marek worked at Softnet Banking Systems as a Java Developer from July 2013 to June 2015. Marek also gained experience as a System Administrator Intern at IBM from May 2012 to August 2012.

Marek Pasieka's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Control Engineering and Robotics, which they pursued from 2010 to 2014 at AGH University of Krakow. Marek furthered their studies at AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow and completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from 2012 to 2016. During this period, Marek also obtained a Master's degree in Control Engineering and Robotics from the same institution, which they pursued from 2014 to 2016.

In terms of certifications, Marek earned the certification of "MongoDB for Java Developers" from MongoDB, Inc. in September 2015. Marek became a "Certified ScrumMaster" through Scrum Alliance in September 2016. Additionally, they obtained the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA)" certification from Amazon Web Services in June 2018. Most recently, in July 2020, they received the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate" certification from Microsoft.

Marek is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of St.Gallen, expected to be completed between 2021 and 2023.
