Deanna Vandiver

Deanna Vandiver has a diverse work experience in the field of justice education and ministerial roles. Deanna is currently serving as the Director of Justice Education at the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) since May 2022. Prior to that, they founded Ever Unfolding LLC in September 2021 and has been serving as its Founder. From 2019 to 2022, they held the position of Affiliated Community Minister of Love and Liberation at the Church of the Larger Fellowship. Deanna also worked as a Minister in Residence at the FIRST UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH OF SAN DIEGO from January 2022 to February 2022. Previously, they served as a Unitarian Universalist Community Minister at Rev'D from May 2018 to December 2021 and as a Bridge Minister at Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation from September 2019 to July 2020. Deanna has also worked as a Community Minister for Greater New Orleans Unitarian Universalists (GNOUU) at UU Ministry from December 2011 to July 2018. Deanna has held leadership positions as Co-Director and Executive Director at the Center for Ethical Living and Social Justice Renewal in New Orleans from 2012 to 2018. Additionally, they have teaching experience as an Adjunct Faculty for CEU students at LIMEX from August 2007 to December 2014.

Deanna Vandiver holds a Master of Pastoral Studies degree from Loyola University New Orleans, which they obtained between the years 2003 and 2007. Deanna'sarea of focus during their studies was Religion and Ecology. Prior to that, they acquired a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from Macalester College, which they completed from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their academic qualifications, Deanna has also obtained several certifications. These include Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross, which they obtained in March 2023. Deanna also completed the Experiential Education and Leadership Institute at Tulane University in June 2014. Furthermore, they possess a Food Safety Certification from the State of Louisiana, obtained in 2013. Finally, Deanna is licensed as a Wedding Officiant in both the State of Louisiana and the State of Minnesota.
