It all started more than 45 years ago when a group of independent wholesalers decided to combine their buying power to negotiate better deals with suppliers. They wanted to offer their retailers better prices to allow them to rival the much bigger players. In November 2018, two of the largest and most successful consortia in the sector, Today’s Group and Landmark Wholesale, joined forces in the face of huge consolidation taking place in the industry. Unitas Wholesale was formed offering its members a sustainable wholesale buying, marketing and selling service, with unprecedented scale and more than 77 combined years of wholesaling experience.

Our strength in scale and volume allows us to negotiate the best prices and promotions from all the major food, drink and non-food suppliers so that our cash and carry and delivered wholesalers can pass the benefits on to their customers. Our membership reach includes retail, foodservice, on-trade, and specialist markets, making us multi-channel experts and the most diverse buying group in the industry.
