Paul Watson

Paul Watson is an experienced hospitality professional currently serving as the Group Operations Director and Director of Central Operations at Unite Students since November 2021. Previously, Paul held the title of Director of Operations at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) from June 2019 to November 2021, and was General Manager at both Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts from December 2014 to June 2019, where Paul managed the refurbishment and rebranding of several hotel facilities, and Malmaison from June 2012 to December 2014, achieving notable sales growth. Earlier roles include General Manager at Guoman & Thistle Hotels from August 2008 to November 2012, where Paul improved hotel transport links, and Food and Beverage Manager at Stapleford Park from March 2006 to August 2008. Paul holds a BSc in Hotel and Catering Management from Sheffield Hallam University, earned between 2001 and 2005.
