Maya Dehart

Maya DeHart has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in roles related to healthcare delivery and strategy. Maya began their career at Synergy International Systems as a User Support Consultant from September 1998 to August 1999. Maya then joined UNITE HERE in 2000, where they held various positions, including Research Coordinator, Senior Research Analyst, and Research Analyst until 2007. Maya later became the Director of the Airport Sector within the Food Service Division, overseeing national organizing and contract campaigns. From 2010 to 2013, Maya served as the Director of Healthcare Strategy for the Food Service Division, implementing the first health plan designed for rapid national growth. Maya also worked as a trustee on the Board of UNITE HERE HEALTH. Since 2013, Maya has been with UNITE HERE HEALTH, initially as the Regional Director of Multi-State Plans and later promoted to Director and Senior Director of Healthcare Delivery. In these roles, they were responsible for managing and optimizing healthcare delivery, collaborating with various stakeholders and vendors to provide quality coverage and experiences for over 220,000 union members and their families.

Maya DeHart began their education in 1994 at Williams College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Studies in 1998. Prior to their time at Williams College, they participated in the Rotary Youth Exchange program in Lviv, Ukraine from 1993 to 1994. More recently, in 2018, Maya enrolled in Harvard Medical School Corporate Learning, where they are currently pursuing a degree in Evidence, Insight and Strategy for Optimizing Health Benefits.
