Edgar Castillo is a highly experienced professional in workforce development and education policy, currently serving as Senior Manager of Workforce Development Policy & Systems at UNITE-LA since February 2020. In this role, Edgar leads systems change initiatives, manages collaborative meetings, and coordinates stakeholder engagement. Previously, Edgar held various positions at the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, including managing education business coalitions and serving as a bicoastal liaison to develop educational resources. Edgar has also contributed to numerous grant proposals and reports focused on education and workforce reform. Edgar's early career included roles as a public policy intern and legislative intern, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Established in 1998, UNITE-LA is a nonprofit organization that leads collaborative education reform efforts, promotes business-education partnerships, expands college access and provides workforce development opportunities for youth in the Los Angeles area to ensure underserved youth have the opportunity to participate in Los Angeles' 21st century economy.
