Yasir S. R. currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry at United Arab Emirates University since August 2023. Previously, Yasir served as Scientist II at Dalriada Drug Discovery from January 2021 to August 2023, contributing significantly to oncology-focused drug discovery programs and leading a team in medicinal chemistry. Yasir's academic experience includes roles as an Academic Teacher at WizePrep and as a Sessional Instructor Assistant at the University of Toronto, demonstrating expertise in organic and analytical chemistry instruction. Yasir holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Toronto, where a strong focus was placed on medicinal, organic, and biological chemistry, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Chemistry and Biology. Additionally, Yasir has extensive experience in teaching, research, and mentoring, reflected in positive feedback from students and successful coaching initiatives.
