Tamar Samir

Tamar Samir, MFA, currently serves as the Social Media Lead for Design & Strategy at the International Union, UAW since April 2023. With a rich background in academia, Tamar held the position of Assistant Professor of Art + Design at Parsons School of Design from September 2001 to May 2023, teaching design courses focused on collaborative design thinking. Additionally, Tamar was a Professor in Design + Visual Identity at Pratt Institute, emphasizing the designer's role as a strategic communicator. Entrepreneurial endeavors include acting as Creative Director for brand strategy and design consulting for various clients and overseeing brand initiatives for Nickelodeon and LOGOtv at Viacom. Tamar holds multiple degrees and certificates, including an MFA in Communication Design + Technology and MA in Liberal Studies focused on Gender, Race, and Social Justice.
