Tara Cotton

Tara Cotton has a diverse work experience in various industries. Tara started their career at United Bank Corporation in 2017 as a Customer Service Team Lead, where they provided exceptional customer service and supervised a team of agents. In 2021, they transitioned to the role of Human Resources Generalist II, where they engaged candidates and collaborated with bank leaders to match them with suitable roles.

In 2022, Tara joined Forte K9 Training as a Business Consultant, where they advised a start-up company on optimizing their organizational practices and creating marketing plans for success. Tara also has experience with the American Kennel Club as an AKC Licensed Farm Dog Certification Judge.

Prior to that, Tara worked at Puppy Tubs, Inc as a Grooming Salon Manager, overseeing all aspects of the business and managing a team of 30 employees. Tara also coordinated continuing education for the salon and kennel staff.

Tara was also the Small Business Owner of TAO K9 Unleashed, and they co-founded Coco's Cupboard, Inc., serving as the Head of Nonprofit Development. In this role, they helped expand the nonprofit's reach and organized community outreach programs and fundraising events.

Tara Cotton holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Middle Georgia State University, which they obtained in 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from the same university, completing their studies in 2021. In 2019, they completed their Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Political Science and Government from Georgia State University Perimeter College. Additionally, Tara obtained a Social Marketing Certification from Hootsuite Academy in June 2022 and became a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) in April 2021.
