Peter Ziegler, MBA, has a diverse work experience with a focus on the banking and finance industry. Peter is currently serving as the Vice President, Correspondent Banking Officer at United Bankers' Bank. In this role, Peter consults with community bank Presidents and CFOs in the Illinois market, assisting them in optimizing their market position, improving operating efficiencies, and generating new customers.
Prior to their current position, Peter worked at American Express as the Manager, Business Development. Here, they consulted large market clients and prospects on optimizing working capital and driving value through electronic payment solutions. Peter successfully closed $58 million in new business volume across 19 companies and earned a Harvard Business School Certificate in Leadership Excellence.
Peter also held various roles at BMO Harris Bank, including Managing Director, National Commercial Card Sales, Vice President, Trade Finance, and Commercial Banker. In these positions, they led sales and portfolio management of a multi-billion-dollar commercial card portfolio, cultivated effective sales strategies, and successfully executed U.S. and international product launches. Additionally, Peter was responsible for structuring and marketing financial solutions, including commercial loans, trade finance, cash management, financial derivatives, and securitizations.
Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated strong business development skills, a deep understanding of the banking industry, and a track record of successfully driving revenue growth and client satisfaction.
Peter Ziegler, MBA, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Roosevelt University, which they obtained between the years 1987 and 1992. Following this, Ziegler pursued a Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Northern Illinois University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1996. In 2019, Ziegler further enhanced their leadership skills by receiving a Certificate in Leadership Excellence from Harvard University.
