Anita Slater

Anita Slater has extensive experience in the banking industry, primarily focused on underwriting and assessing commercial loans. Anita has held various roles at different companies throughout their career. Anita started their career as a Commercial Credit Review Officer at AmSouth Bank in 1996 before moving on to Compass Bank as a Commercial Loan Review Officer. Anita then joined SouthTrust Bank as a Risk Assessment Portfolio Analyst and later became a Commercial Account Manager. Anita continued to expand their expertise at Regions Financial Corporation, where they worked as a Commercial Loan Underwriter. Anita then joined Wachovia Corporation as a Senior Small Business Loan Underwriter before taking on the role of Commercial Loan Portfolio Analyst/AVP at Silverton Bank. Anita also worked at KPMG as a Banking Consultant, reviewing commercial lending files for various financial institutions. Anita then joined BBVA in the USA, where they had multiple roles, including Senior SBA Commercial Loan Underwriter and Internal Control Associate. Anita's most recent position was at PNC as a VP, SBA Loan Underwriter IV. Currently, they are working at United Community Bank as a Senior SBA Underwriter, VP. Throughout their career, Anita has been responsible for assessing credit quality, analyzing financial data, and making sound underwriting decisions. Anita has experience with loan sizes ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars. Anita has proven skills in gathering and reviewing financial information and ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines.

Anita Slater earned an MBA in Business Administration from Samford University from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Jackson State University, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Anita completed their high school education at Robert C. Hatch High School from 1981 to 1985.
