Joan O'Brien has over two decades of experience in the construction industry, currently serving as the Education Manager at United Contractors since January 2008. United Contractors represents over 500 member companies in the union-affiliated construction sector, which collectively executes $20 billion in construction projects and manages a workforce of 18 million man-hours. Prior to this role, Joan O'Brien was the Apprenticeship Coordinator at the Sprinkler Fitters Local 483 Apprenticeship Training Center from June 1996 to May 2002, and held the position of Office Manager at Garvin Fire Protection Systems, Inc. from March 1991 to August 1995.
