United Friends of the Children empowers current and former foster youth on their journey to self-sufficiency through service-enriched education and housing programs, advocacy, and consistent relationships with a community of people who care. UFC has two direct service departments: Housing and Education. The Pathways Program provides transition-aged youth with housing and support services as they seek to obtain stable and secure housing and employment. The College Readiness Program provides seventh through twelfth grade foster youth with academic counseling and support to help them graduate from high school and attend a four-year college. The College Sponsorship Program provides academic, personal and financial support to foster youth to help them graduate from a four-year college. 

Our goal is that the youth in our programs not only survive, but that they thrive.

The Maintenance and Facilities team at United Friends of the Children ensures that all housing and educational facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This team is responsible for routine upkeep, emergency repairs, and overall property management, creating a stable and supportive environment for foster youth to thrive in. With both live-in and on-site technicians, the team is dedicated to providing timely support and maintaining high standards of living for the program participants.
