Leif Anderson

Leif Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Leif started their career in 1999 as the Beef Quality Assurance Coordinator and Montana Beef Network Coordinator at Montana State University. In this role, Leif provided training to livestock producers, conducted research data collection and analysis, and supported the Montana Beef Network. Their focus was on nutrition research projects and data traceability.

In 2000, Leif joined U.S. Premium Beef as a Field Representative. Here, they provided member service, education, and research on carcass grid performance and feedlot performance. Leif assisted members in interpreting carcass grid data and its impact on feeding strategies.

Leif then joined North Dakota State University - Hettinger Research Extension Center in 2002 as an Assistant Animal Scientist and Project Coordinator. Leif was responsible for the development of the Southwest Feeders Project and managed all aspects of feeding programs. Leif also assisted area producers in implementing nutrition strategies and feedlot design.

From 2005 to 2013, Leif worked at AgInfoLink. In their role as Verified and Technical Services, they provided customer consulting, sales, and support for individual animal management systems. Leif also managed custom engineered data systems projects and provided one-on-one interaction with customers.

Since 2013, Leif has been with United Grain Corporation (UGC). Leif initially worked as an Elevator Manager, overseeing operations. Later, they became the Interim IT Director and then transitioned to the role of Project Manager-Operations in February 2017. Leif has been responsible for managing various projects and operations within the company.

Leif Anderson completed their education in a span of seven years, from 1991 to 1998. During this time, they attended Montana State University-Bozeman and obtained both their Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degrees. Their field of study was Animal Science - Nutrition.
