United Labor Agency

The United Labor Agency is a non-profit, 501(C)3 based in Cleveland, Ohio and is in its 48th year of operation. The ULA has been the One-Stop Operator and Title I Contractor for OhioMeansJobs|Cleveland-Cuyahoga County, Workforce Development Board Area 3, since July 1, 2010. The United Labor Agency also provides staff support in Cuyahoga County for the Opportunity Corridor Project and the Youth Services Department through a grant with the State of Ohio called Wage Pathway. Currently, we provide contracted staff to OhioMeansJobs|Lake County in Painesville, Ohio to perform WIOA Staffing Services and implement the principles of our demand-driven approach. Additionally, ULA holds the WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker Career Services contract with OhioMeansJobs|Summit County in Akron, Ohio, where we also implemented the WagePathway youth program. Most recently, ULA was awarded the WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker Career Services contract in Medina County. The ULA has a history of serving diverse populations while demonstrating the ability to meet the unique needs of individuals served. Through our initiatives, WIOA and other workforce development contracts, ULA aims to provide services to help individuals achieve the satisfaction of their basic human needs, and to provide opportunities, programs and employment to reach their full human potential. Our mission is to attack the causes of poverty and improve quality of life for individuals and families. We recognize that work is integral to an individual’s dignity and our mission and programs address employment, reemployment, retention, and other workforce needs within communities, while providing employers with the workforce they need to be competitive and successful.
