Joseph Varon

Joseph Varon has a strong background in the medical field with extensive work experience. Joseph started their career as a Resident at Providence Hospital in 1988 and later joined Stanford University School of Medicine as a Resident Internal Medicine from 1989 to 1991. In 1997, they became the President of Dorrington Medical Associates, PA. Varon then worked as the Chief of Critical Care Services and Past Chief of Staff at University General Hospital Systems from 2011 to 2020. In 2018, they served as the Chairman of the Board at United General Hospital. Currently, they are the Chief of Critical Care and COVID-19 at United Memorial Medical Center, a position they have held since 2020.

Joseph Varon completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at Colegio Williams from 1977 to 1980. Joseph then went on to pursue a Residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1989 to 1991. After completing their residency, they undertook a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine from 1991 to 1994.
