Kats Barry is a seasoned digital asset manager and associate photographer at United Methodist Communications since January 2010, overseeing the UM Media Library and editing photographs with Adobe software. Prior experience includes serving as a photo researcher for the United Methodist News Service, managing the photo process for digital content. Kats Barry's photography career began in 1995 with Kats Barry Photography, providing services to notable clients such as Vanderbilt Children Hospital and Getty Images. Additional experience includes contract food photography for United Features Syndicate, collaborating with writers on food illustrations, and a role as staff photographer and graphics coordinator at THE TENNESSEAN. Early career work includes a position as a chyron operator at WTVF NewsChannel 5. Kats Barry holds a BA in English and Fine Art from Vanderbilt University and has attended the Rhode Island School of Design and Rhodes College.
