Erin Bates

Erin Bates has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Erin most recently worked at the United Mine Workers of America, where they held multiple roles including Director of Communications and Director of Social Media. Prior to that, Erin had experience in the real estate industry at Ryan Homes, where they served as a Field Sales and Marketing Administrator and Production Administrator. Erin also worked as a Permit Administrator at FREDERICKSBURG AREA BUILDERS ASSOCIATION, INC. Erin has experience as an Executive Assistant at JDC Management, LLC and completed an internship in Strategic Planning and Business Integration at Virginia Premier. Additionally, they held leadership roles at Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women and gained media experience as the Head Anchor and Weather Specialist at Virginia Tech Television.

Erin Bates attended Virginia Tech from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies. Erin obtained a certification in Social Media Marketing - Industry Specialist from Meltwater in August 2023.
