Esita Kubuwai

Esita Kubuwai currently serves as the Climate Change and Public Financial Management Officer at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), where responsibilities include facilitating climate finance flow through government systems and advising national and subnational governments on performance-based grants and climate adaptation measures. Previously, Esita held the position of Program Officer for the Local Climate Adaptive Living (LoCAL) initiative at UNCDF, supporting Pacific Island Countries in accessing climate finance. Esita's experience includes working as a Researcher/Programme Assistant for the Pacific Digital Economy Programme at UNCTAD and as an Investment Advisor at Investment Fiji, where roles involved trade analysis, organizing meetings and events, and assisting exporters. Esita's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics, International Business, and Marketing from The University of the South Pacific, along with earlier qualifications in Foundation Science and Accounting from the same institution.
