Jieyuan Kan

Jieyuan Kan is an Environmental Analyst at the United Nations ESCAP since February 2022, focusing on research, data analysis, and support for projects related to environmental and human health in Asia and the Pacific. Prior experience includes roles as a Sloan EEEE Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, and various research roles at institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley, Yale University, and Hunan University, contributing to projects on snowpack water storage, anti-poaching policies, and microfabricated tools for environmental health monitoring. Jieyuan also founded LOOP Education Technology, aimed at supporting students studying overseas. Jieyuan holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Computer and Informational Technology from the University of Pennsylvania.
