Kanika Gupta

Kanika Gupta is a consultant in Economic Affairs at the United Nations ESCAP since August 2021, previously serving as a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy from January 2018 to July 2021. Kanika's work at the National Institute focused on the impact of Conditional Cash Transfers on health interventions among pregnant women laborers in Madhya Pradesh. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Consultant at the National Human Rights Commission of India, where Kanika analyzed various research projects and prepared reports on education and health entitlement, among other topics. Additionally, a tenure as a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade involved data analysis on trade policies. Kanika holds an MA in Economics from Banasthali Vidyapith and a BA in Economics from Shivaji College, Delhi University.
