Mikiko Tanaka

Mikiko Tanaka currently serves as the Director of the South and Southwest Asia Sub-regional Office at the United Nations ESCAP since May 2022. Prior to this role, Mikiko Tanaka was the UN Resident Coordinator from August 2016 to August 2021 and held the position of Resident Representative/Country Director at UNDP from October 1995 to December 2019. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from SOAS University of London, a Master's degree in Rural Development Management from Khon Kaen University, and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Intercultural Communications from International Christian University.
