Suba Sivakumaran

Suba Sivakumaran is an experienced professional currently serving as the Chief of Section for the Financing for Development Section at the United Nations ESCAP since September 2022. In this role, Suba oversees projects and research related to financing development for the 62 member states of Asia and the Pacific, focusing on strategic financial policies and emerging issues. Prior to this, Suba held key positions at Nathan Associates Inc. from November 2015 to September 2022, including Head of Private Sector Development/Investment and Principal Consultant in International Development. Suba's earlier contributions include leadership roles within UNDP, particularly managing the Business Call to Action initiative aimed at advancing the Millennium Development Goals. Additional experience includes serving as Country Director for Room to Read in Sri Lanka, and roles in financial analysis at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Suba holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Science in Government and Economics from the London School of Economics.
