Kinetibeb Kassa

Kinetibeb KASSA is a seasoned human rights professional with extensive experience in advocacy, monitoring, and capacity building. Currently serving as Management Staff at Crisis Action since March 2024, Kinetibeb leads strategic campaigns related to the African Union while monitoring conflict developments. Previously, Kinetibeb worked for the UN OHCHR-East Africa Regional Office for nearly 15 years, contributing to the design and implementation of human rights strategies in the East African region. Kinetibeb has also held roles as a Civilian Human Rights Expert for the African Union in Somalia, co-founded the Organization for Social Justice in Ethiopia, and served as an Assistant Judge at the Federal Supreme Court of Ethiopia. Kinetibeb holds an LLM in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from Lund University.
