Matthew Brown

Matthew Brown is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public information and editorial roles within international organizations. Currently serving as a Public Information Officer for the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights since January 2021, Matthew previously held positions such as Speechwriter and Communications Adviser at the International Trade Centre, and Public Information Officer at UNCTAD. Additional experience includes work as a copy editor for the World Health Organization and as a deputy editor for The St. Petersburg Times, where responsibilities encompassed editorial management and layout design. Matthew's educational background includes a BA Hons in English & American Studies/Film Studies from the University of East Anglia and a Post-Graduate Honours Diploma in Periodicals Journalism from City St George’s, University of London. Currently pursuing an advanced diploma in Digital Marketing, Matthew continues to enhance skills relevant to the evolving communications landscape.
