Global Chief Security Officer at United Nations Human Rights

Sherif Noaman has extensive work experience in the field of security. Sherif most recently served as the Global Chief Security Officer for the United Nations Human Rights organization. Prior to that, they held various roles in the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), including Deputy Chief Security Adviser and Field Security Coordination Officer. Sherif also worked as the Head of Security for the World Food Programme and as a Security Officer for UN MINUSMA. In addition, they have experience in field security coordination and mission security roles with organizations such as MONUSCO and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Before their international career, Sherif worked in various positions within the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, including as a Police Chief Administration Officer. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in advising on security matters, developing security policies and procedures, conducting security assessments, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Sherif Noaman completed their Bachelor of Law and Police Sciences degree in General Law and Police Work at the Egyptian Police Academy from 1991 to 1995. Sherif proceeded to earn a Master's degree in Common Law from Cairo University from 1998 to 2000. Additionally, they obtained a diploma in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the Egyptian Police Academy in 1991. In 2011, they acquired the Security Certification Program (SCP) from UNDSS.
