Allegra Baiocchi

Allegra Baiocchi is an experienced professional with extensive expertise in humanitarian coordination and policy formulation within the United Nations system. Currently serving as the United Nations Coordinator for Costa Rica, Allegra also holds the position of United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative for Cameroon. Allegra has a strong background in regional representation, having worked as the Regional Representative and Head of Office for West and Central Africa with United Nations OCHA, along with significant roles in Somalia and Sudan focusing on protection of civilians and policy planning. With prior experience as an advisor on gender issues and internal displacement, Allegra's humanitarian career spans multiple countries and organizations, including INTERSOS and UNCTAD. Allegra holds a Master's degree in Political Science and Development Economics from Sapienza Università di Roma.
