Claudia Purpura

Claudia Purpura is an experienced professional in humanitarian leadership and talent management, currently serving as the Learning and Humanitarian Leadership Development Coordinator at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) since February 2012. In this role, Claudia has developed leadership training programs for humanitarian leaders and coordinated the EMERGE emerging women leadership development program. Claudia previously held positions as Talent Management Coordinator at OCHA, Human Resources Officer and Team Leader at the United Nations Office at Geneva, and Chief Human Resources Management a.i. at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, where responsibilities included recruitment, performance management, and organizational restructuring. Claudia's educational background includes a DESS in Human Resources Management and Organizational Theory from the University of Geneva and a Master's degree in Social Sciences and Statistics from Sapienza Università di Roma.
