Joel Opulencia

Joel Opulencia is an experienced information management professional with a robust background in cartography and GIS technology. Currently, Joel serves as an Information Management Officer at the United Nations OCHA, a position held since December 2011. Prior experience includes working as a Cartographer for ReliefWeb, a GIS Technologist for the City of Peterborough, and a Principal at JORA Data Resources. Additionally, Joel has held various roles at the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, including Systems Tester and GIS and Data Support Officer. Educational credentials include a Cartographic Specialist Diploma from Fleming College and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Toronto.
