Saad Abdel-Haq

Saad Abdel-Haq has extensive experience in humanitarian affairs, currently serving as the Head of the Humanitarian Financing Unit and Humanitarian Pooled Fund Manager at the United Nations OCHA since January 2011. In this role, Saad Abdel-Haq manages the Humanitarian Fund for the occupied Palestinian territories, ensuring alignment with the Humanitarian Response Plan and addressing urgent funding needs. Previously, from April 2003 to December 2010, Saad Abdel-Haq worked as a Humanitarian Affairs Analyst at UN OCHA, contributing to operations in multiple field offices. Earlier career experience includes serving as an Economic Researcher for the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, focusing on local economic reports and trade capacity. Saad Abdel-Haq holds a Master’s degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bir Zeit.
