Stijn de Medts

Stijn De Medts is an experienced security professional with a diverse background in law enforcement and international security. Currently serving as the Interagency Security Coordinator and Assistant Chief Security at the United Nations Office at Geneva since May 2017, Stijn has previously held roles such as Regional Security Specialist at UN Women and Assistant Chief Security at the United Nations Office Nairobi. Stijn's career includes experience as a Security Training Officer at UNDSS and positions in the Federal Police, where responsibilities included Coordination Officer and Platoon Commander. Academically, Stijn holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Brussels, a Master's degree in Criminology from Ghent University, and a Certificate in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the National Police Officer School, along with a Bachelor's degree in Military Operational Art and Science from the Royal Military Academy.
