Denis Muthuri has a diverse and extensive work experience. Denis started their career as an Attache at the National Bank of Kenya in 2012, where they managed customer accounts and handled reimbursements and settlements. Denis then worked as a Data Collector at Uwezo East Africa for a brief period in 2012.

In 2013, Denis joined Equity Bank Limited as a Relationship Operations Officer, where they performed various cash and operations duties, including forex transactions and managing petty cash. After two years, they transitioned to the United Nations Volunteers in 2015, working as a UNV Programme Assistant in Public Finance Management. In this role, they implemented the Public Finance Management Act and prepared budgets and reports.

Denis joined the Nyamira County Government as a Budget & Planning Officer in 2017. During their tenure, they developed department-specific plans, coordinated public participation processes, and trained staff in budget preparation and compliance.
