Diógenes Amílcar Nunes Correia has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on officer roles. Currently, they are working as a Human Resources Officer at the United Nations Office at Nairobi since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at Unicef CHAD from August 2021 to February 2022, and at UNICEF Moçambique from May 2019 to August 2021.

Before joining the United Nations organizations, Diógenes worked as a Senior Consultant at HR Solutions - Human Resources from July 2018 to May 2019. Diógenes Amílcar also worked as the Head of HR at MTN Guinea Bissau from December 2015 to July 2018, and at Groupe Orabank for a brief period from September 2015 to December 2015.

Diógenes gained early experience in human resources at Ecobank Guinea-Bissau, where they held various positions. Diógenes Amílcar served as the Head of HR from June 2014 to August 2015, as the Acting Head of HR from July 2013 to June 2014, and as a Country HR Specialist/Business Partner from October 2012 to July 2013.

Throughout their career, Diógenes has demonstrated a strong commitment to human resources and has worked in both national and international organizations, gaining valuable skills and expertise in the field.

Diógenes Amílcar Nunes Correia began their education at Vergilio Fereira Secondary School in Portugal, where they earned their A-Levels Grade B in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from 1995 to 2000. In 2008, they attended Park Lane Campus in Leeds, where they completed an Access Course for Higher Education. Diógenes Amílcar later pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Bradford from 2009 to 2012. Continuing their academic journey, Diógenes enrolled at Berkeley Universal Business School and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from 2016 to 2017.
