Hiram Mungai

Hiram Mungai has over 20 years of work experience in finance roles. Hiram started their career as the Finance Manager and Office Administrator at Nairobi City Council Cooperative Society Ltd, where they were responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, financial accounting, reporting, risk management, and treasury. Hiram also supervised the maintenance and reconciliation of ledgers and verified payment vouchers for staff and Sacco members.

In 2005, Hiram joined the UN World Food Programme, Kenya Country Office as a Finance Analyst. Hiram'sresponsibilities included processing payments for vendors, overseeing food distribution in fields and camps, and ensuring food security.

Hiram then joined the United Nations Office at Nairobi in 2006 as a Finance Officer. In this role, they supervised payroll administration and HR management for close to 4,000 staff members from various UN agencies. Hiram advised management on staff members whose salaries were not generated and liaised with HR management and other offices on staff members who were withheld from the payroll.
