Paola Albrito serves as the Director and Acting Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) since October 2022. Prior to this role, Paola Albrito held various positions within UNDRR from 2004 to 2022, including Chief of intergovernmental processes and Regional Coordinator for Europe. Additional experience includes consultancy roles at the International Labour Organization and a significant tenure at UNDP as Coordinator and Programme Analyst in Djibouti. Paola Albrito earned a degree from Università degli Studi di Torino between 1992 and 1997.
