Lydia Zigomo

Lydia Zigomo currently serves as the Regional Director at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) since August 2022. Prior to this role, Lydia held several senior positions at Oxfam International from January 2017 to August 2022, including Global Programmes Director and Regional Director for Horn East and Central Africa. Lydia's career also includes serving as Head of East Africa Region at WaterAid from April 2007 to December 2016, Africa Regional Manager at Interact Worldwide from August 2004 to March 2007, and National Director at the Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association from March 1998 to December 2002. Lydia Zigomo obtained a Master's degree in Civil Liberties and Human Rights Law from the University of Leicester in 1996 and a Bachelor of Law Honours degree from the University of Zimbabwe in 1991.
