Mónica Ferro

Director Of Unfpa’s London Office at United Nations Population Fund

Mónica Ferro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and academia within international organizations. Currently, Mónica serves as the Director of UNFPA’s London Office and Chief of the Geneva Office since April 2017. In addition, Mónica has been an investigator at CIEG ISCSP - University of Lisbon and a lecturer at the Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas, focusing on topics such as the United Nations and international cooperation. Mónica's previous roles include serving as a board member at the Conselho de Administração do Instituto Francisco Sá Carneiro and the Comissão Portuguesa do Atlântico, as well as providing commentary on Rádio Televisão Portuguesa and writing a column for Revista Sábado. Mónica also held the position of Vice President at the European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development and was briefly the Secretary of State for National Defense. Mónica holds a master's degree in International Relations/United Nations from the University of Lisbon.
