Programme Analyst - Learning And Documentation at United Nations Population Fund

Samuel Okiror is a seasoned communication and advocacy professional with a wealth of experience in journalism and program analysis. Currently serving as a Programme Analyst at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) since July 2021, Samuel coordinates the production of communication materials and represents UNFPA in UN Communication working groups. Prior to this role, Samuel worked as a reporter at The Guardian, focusing on gender-based violence, maternal healthcare, and sexual and reproductive health rights. Additional experience includes positions at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction as a consultant, where Samuel documented disaster risk management issues, and as a correspondent for IRIN. Samuel holds multiple master's degrees in Journalism and Public Administration from Makerere University and Uganda Management Institute, along with a bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Management from Gulu University.
